Resident Reports Lug Nuts Loosened On Vehicle
An investigation was initiated during the weekend after a Leoma man discovered that someone had loosened the lug nuts on his car.
Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department show that the victim, age 34, reported the crime around 11:45 a.m. Sunday.
The victim told deputies that he had been away from his home for the past three months, but had returned Saturday night. He said that he got into his car that morning to go to his girlfriend’s house, but while driving the car, “…began to jerk back and forth.”
While examining the car, the victim said he discovered that someone had loosened all four lug nuts on one wheel.
At the present time the matter remains under investigation.
